If you stumble, make it part of the dance. "November Plum" is a short experimental movie, that forces the viewers to discipline their voyeurism by offering a frame of HER (character) and HER perspective. The movie introduces you to her play and her dual loneliness, followed by authentic music and the voice of a man who utters her deepest thoughts full of challenging elements, reflections and reminiscence. "November plum" is a film with mood swings, sound shifts, changes of decisions and intentions. She (25) is in discrepancy with herself, the galaxies and the universe in herself. The contradictions in her life are permanent. She is accustomed to live by the rules, to obey everything. She studies something like economics, which was not her intention, has few allies that she calls friends, she desperately, but secretly falls in love with urban boys and tries to do her best to fit in.The day comes when she needs to resolve her indecision. In twenty-four hours, the viewers witness her actions and thoughts, such as her sexual fantasies, anger, confrontation with her mother, refusal of obedience, bad cooking habits and meeting the love of her life. In the foreground, her everyday routine is broken by her thoughts and her fears. Day 259 is a day in her life where there is no more compromises. She no longer balances on the wire. It is over and She lets herself go!

DAMT5K HAWAIIAN SOVEREIGNTY LEFTY REVOLUTION demo start

Dear Colleagues, Established Artists, Student Artists, University Students, Young Students, and Streets Artists, I humbly apologize for this broadcast email. I have not been here for awhile as life takes its course and we navigate through its pathways for better or for worse. I am, God willing healthy, have a roof over my head, part time work, and time to work towards God’s goals. Which comes to me writing this message. Time is running out, the time is now to spread the good word, through our work, thoughts, ideas and actions. However we do spread the light, it is through our work as artists. Either through acceptance or denial, each of us places ourselves to he right or the left in according to our choices, desires, mistakes or intentions. DAM T5K…AKA LEFTYS’ REVOLUTION was discussed with Late JAMES NICHOLAS after I was approached by CSIS last decade to be hired as an intelligence officer. Before James passing, we documented footage of him cleansing the Earth as starting point for this film and how we as Indigenous people must support that cleansing. If we cleanse ourselves, then we can work with Mother Earth and the Great Spirit. Language was also a starting point. Through these discussions, communication between other natives was a key notion. Upon learning the Hudson Bay Company had the Hawaiians and Salish People work together during the colonial whaling Industry, there was a very strong connection of the Hawaiians to The Coastal Indigenous People in Washington State, and British Columbia, Coast Salish and Kwakiutl nations. It was noted that both the Hawaiian Islands and Salish Territories are unceded territory and our project was more revealing further truisms. With the passing of JAMES NICHOLAS, the ORATOR, ACTOR, POLITICIAN, SHAMAN and BRILLANT WRITER, I placed it on the shelf, simmering for some time as death, procrastination, self doubt, worthlessness, and survival kicks to the curb. I moved back to EDMONTON after 29 years on Salish Territory. I left Edmonton, AB Sept 17, 2080 to realize my potential in life, instead of ending up in jail as another incarcerated “Indian” and out fo the way. SO relationship breakup, I moved back 2009, they still seen indigenous people the same way 29 years ago, but I stay positive. I am now closer to son’s family, brother and so on. Dreams kept coming back to me to finish this film Prophetic dreams , Dreams of James, as it is to the one down south that I realized I have to find to. 2008, I went to Hawaii the first time and realized where this story must originate, as it was discussed with JAMES NICHOLAS before James’ passing. The early months before his tragic fall in the canyons of the Fraser River, we documented footage of him cleansing the Earth as starting point for this film and how we as Indigenous people must support that cleansing. If we cleanse ourselves, then we can work with Mother Earth and the Great Spirit. We jokingly called it DAM JNK Hawaiian Sovereignty Indigenous Resistance AKA Lefty’s Revolution. The story was he was the Underground Leader, Frencheater was the warrior, it was global, indigenous warriors everywhere fighting the colonial system with the sacred ways of the ancients, and a clean body, spirit and mind. Maintaining the historical connection between the nations, determination must be the need and desire for self determination and independent sovereignty but diplomacy must be the resolve.   The idea of working with James was an honor and a state of grace. With his passing, I put the media away, a time of mourning. 2012 I decided to work with the media I have of our work together and tie down the global relationship by going to Hawaii and work with the notion of working with the spirit of James through Frencheater’s documentation of indigenous homeless, sovereignty events and bridging that Oceanic connection. I received permission to record the Hawaiian Sovereignty March in Honolulu through the proper cultural protocol required. The March and Rally was recorded for two days and I begin to transfer and edit the Canon HD footage on my laptop and desktop editing system. The story took a twist before 2012, after all my original footage was deleted December when my desktop system was hacked. All my political rally footage was deleted from my drives. I was devastated, angry and determined not to stop the project. Fortunately, I had exported rough cuts of my editing on separated drives in storage and I was able to salvage the march and other aspects of that production period. I kept notes on indigenous resistance stories, social issues, the criminalization of our first people throughout my time and began writing the screenplay for this film. Moving to Edmonton after 30 years on Salish Territory, I saw the systemic racism against our people and how the justice system treats our people. I decided to use my character as a foil for these issues and bring a form of denouement to his persona by having him criminalized through this story and put to rest. This does not mean that the issues are dead and that our work is over and that we must accept how our people are positioned in this society. We can change the status quo by showing stories that deconstruct the reality we as a people share in our families and their institutions and that our oral and traditional customs are our saving grace. Thank you for your time;, here is a link to images for the start for the start of this film and the screenplay is done DAM-T5K Hawaiian Sovereignty and the Indigenous Resistance AKA LEFTYS’ REVOLUTION an assemble edit of sorts, need INSERT/CUTAWAY images for current reality e...
